Scheels FANatic 5K

Grab your family and friends, pick a team, cause, hobby, or anything else that you are CRAZY about and show us your FANatic side! The Inaugural Scheels FANatic 5K will feature an awards ceremony following the race for the fastest runners in designated age groups, a trophy for the Best FANatic Spirit, and door prizes!

FEES:


$17.50 -- Early Bird Registration* (now - Feb 1)
$20.00 -- Pre-Registration (Feb 2 - Mar 24)
$25.00 -- Day of Registration (Mar 25 - 27)
*All registrations before Feb 1 will be entered for a chance to win a $50 Scheels Gift Card (employees are excluded from this contest).

Packet Pick-Up:


Friday, March 26, 2010: 5:00pm – 8:00pm (available inside Scheels)
Saturday, March 27, 2009: 6:30am – 7:30am (outside of the SCHEELS front doors)

Course:
The race will start and finish in the SCHEELS parking lot. The majority of the race will run around the Sparks Marina. Course maps will be available at the race.

Timing:
Timing will be conducted by Lynn Mentzer and Dave Nolte.

Awards Party:
Awards will also be given for the following: • Fastest Female Overall • Fastest Male Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals will be given to the following age groups for both men and women: • 12 and Under • 13 - 19 • 20 - 29 • 30 - 39 • 40 - 49 • 50+ But wait! There's more...adidas door prizes will also be given out, in addition to the Best FANatic Spirit! Water, PowerAde, and fruit will be available after the race.

Beneficiaries:


Benefiting the Crisis Call Center, which provides 24-hour emergency telephone crisis intervention, support, information, and referral services throughout the state of Nevada. This service is FREE for anyone in crisis, regardless of the nature of his or her problem, with the intention of offering callers the opportunity to discover learning and growth in their crisis.

  1. Participant must register by Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 9:00pm.

    1. Only have 81 spots available.

    2. NO alternate list will be taken!

      1. If you are not on time, your spot will be given away!

  2. Participant MUST BE 18 years or older.

  3. Participant must pre-pay $10 entry fee at NASCAR

    1. Participant will get $10 Scheels Gift Card when they show up for their first race on Saturday, January 30, 2010.

  4. Participant needs to select their first race time.

  5. Races will be 5 minutes in length

    1. 1st round will be one course

    2. 2nd round will be another course

    3. Each round will be harder than the previous round

  6. Prizes will be as follows:

    1. 1st Place: $250 Scheels Gift Card

    2. 2nd Place: $100 Scheels Gift Card

    3. 3rd Place: $50 Scheels Gift Card
